The first time I visited the state of Illinois was to visit my cousins in Chicago. I was quite little, but a few things stuck out to me. Tops of course was Lake Michigan. Being from Florida it seemed odd to me that people were actually playing beach volleyball this far North, but my cousins let me know that it is indeed one of their most popular sports! Wrigley Field was the next big hot spot for us to visit. Baseball has always been a bit boring to me, so my interest lingered to other areas.

Finally we hit the driving range at the Harborside International Golf Course in Chicago! Bam, I loved it. Great scenery and luscious greens made for a perfect evening. Even at such a young age I could appreciate a well put together golf course. Illinois while freezing cold in the Winter for us Florida boys comes alive in the summer.

I must say I am a big fan of Bridgestone as a company. We had never tested out their equipment before for our rental fleet though, so this year we gave it a try. Unfortunately we gave their clubs two thumbs down. The biggest driver for this decision were the bulkiness and weight of their clubs. We have found over the years that our clients love light weight, easy to swing clubs that last. I am hoping that their clubs will change for the better in 2013, but for 2012 we decided not to include Bridgestone in our golf club rental fleet

Nike pulls out all the stops when it comes to selling their golf sets! This particular gentleman was brought in to sing while he sampled the new Nike rental clubs. We had a great time visiting again and testing out Nike’s clubs. Their reps were very informative and our clients are going to love playing and renting their new clubs.

King Cobra is without a doubt the trendiest of golf equipment manufacturers. They go after the younger generations, which is very evident in their sponsorships of some of the worlds top young professional golf talent. Mizuno is one of those tried and true brands that almost everyone has tested out. We personally like the Mizuno brand because of it’s consistency in and around the greens. Mizuno doesn’t try to cut corners when it is making it’s irons in particular. I would say the irons are the Mizuno’s best attribute within our golf rental fleet of clubs!
